Today's Game
Tonight, the Bisons take on the Pawtucket Red Sox in the first game of a three-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). Buffalo is coming of a 5-2 road trip in which they swept a three-game series from Pawtucket, and split a four-game series with Syracuse. The Herd will travel to Charlotte for a three-game series on Tuesday, following this weekend's series vs the Red Sox.

The Bisons are 7-2 against the Red Sox this season. Buffalo has won five of the last six games including a three-game sweep of the Red Sox at McCoy Stadium, July 24-26. Seven of the nine matchups this year have been decided by three runs or less.
Randy Wolf
LHP RANDY WOLF will make his team-high 20th start of the season tonight. The veteran was solid again for the Bisons on July 25 against Pawtucket. Wolf pitched 6.0 scoreless innings while earning his seventh win of the season. He allowed five hits, walked two, and struck out three in his 10th quality start for Buffalo. Wolf currently owns the 4th lowest ERA for IL qualifying starters and is one of just two starters to have allowed two or fewer homers.
MattVP
INF MATT HAGUE continued his stellar July last night by collecting two more hits and two more RBI. This month, the slugger is batting .393 (44-112) and has collected 27 RBI as well as hitting four home runs. Hague continues to lead the IL in average (.353), hits (141), RBI (75), and OBP (.432).
Andy Burns
INF ANDY BURNS collected two more hits last night and has now hit in seven straight. The infielder is batting .361 in the last 10 games with 13 hits, five runs scored, and seven RBI. Burns has had multi-hit performances in six of his last seven games and ranks second on the Bisons with 27 multi-hit games.
Bisons Bits
Last night, the Bisons lost just their 7th game of the season when scoring first...OF ALEX HASSAN is batting .352 in the month of July with 14 runs scored and eight RBI... OF DALTON POMPEY has scored 16 runs in his last 13 games.
Blue Jays Update
The Blue Jays (52-51) beat the Royals last night, 5-2. Josh Donaldson, Russell Martin, and Dioner Navarro each homered for Toronto, while Marco Estrada earned the win. The Blue Jays will face off again with the Royals tonight at Rogers Centre as RHP Drew Hutchison will match up against KC's newly acquired ace, Johnny Cueto (7:07 p.m.)
