Wild Throw In Bottom Of 10th Inning Helps Cane Cutters Defeat Marshals 5-4

Last night at Fabacher Field the Texas Marshals and Acadiana Cane Cutters were tied 4-4 going into the bottom of the tenth inning. A bloop hit by Jalen Haskin allowed him to advanced toward third base. An errant throw allowed Haskin to continue and score the winning run, producing a final score of 5-4 in favor of the Cane Cutters.

Matthew Lillard earned the loss, pitching 2-2/3 innings giving up one run (unearned) and striking out one. Clay Brast earned the victory for the Cane Cutters, pitching two innings in relief and giving up one run (earned).

Cord Perea led the Marshals' offense. He went 4-for-4 with two RBI.

Tonight the same two teams meet again. Game time is 7:05 pm at Fabacher Field.
