Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons face the Syracuse Chiefs in the final game of a four-game series at NBT Bank Stadium (7:05 p.m.). The Herd has won seven of eight and 10 of its last 12 games dating back to July 18. Tomorrow, the Bisons start a three-game series with Pawtucket at Coca-Cola Field.

vs. the Chiefs

The Bisons are 9-3 against the Chiefs this season. Buffalo has outscored Syracuse 62-38 in the 12 games. The teams are slated to play 21 times season, the most for the Bisons against any other opponent. The Herd (13-8) is one game up on Rochester in the Thruway Cup standings. The Chiefs currently sit 6.5 games behind Buffalo.

Todd Redmond

RHP TODD REDMOND will make his 16th appearance for the Bisons tonight. The veteran last worked in relief on Sunday when he allowed three runs in 3.0 innings. Redmond's last start was July 8 in Rochester, allowing just two runs in five innings of a no-decision. He has pitched 3.0 innings of scoreless relief against the Chiefs this year.

MattVP

INF MATT HAGUE's stellar 2015 campaign reached a new high last night as the slugger drove in three runs with a season-high four hits. Hague's batting average climbed to a .353, tops in the International League. Hague also continues to pace the IL in hits (139), RBI (73) and OBP (.432) and is tied for the most games played this season (has played in 103 of Buffalo's 105 games).

Blue Jays Trade

The Blue Jays today acquired LHP David Price from the Tigers. Toronto sent Bisons' LHP DANIEL NORRIS and LHP MATT BOYD in the deal. Boyd was scheduled to start tonight and was 3-1 with a 2.77 ERA in six starts for the Bisons. Norris was 3-10 with a 4.27 ERA in 16 starts for the Herd this year.

Bisons Bits

The Bisons .872 (41-6) record when scoring first is 104 points better than the next closest IL club, Norfolk...OF DALTON POMPEY has collected 15 runs scored in his last 12 games...The bullpen has tallied more strikeouts (72) than hits allowed (69) in 84.1 innings of work this month...INF ANDY BURNS has hit in six straight games with a .458 (11-24) average since July 24.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (51-51) beat the Phillies last night, 8-2. New acquisition Troy Tulowitzki made a splash in his Toronto debut, going 3-5 with three runs scored, three RBI, two doubles and a homer. The Blue Jays continue their homestand with a four-game set against Kansas City tonight (7:07 p.m.)
