MOBILE, Ala. - The Jacksonville Suns (10-22, 39-62) were topped by the Mobile BayBears (20-11, 54-46) 4-2 Wednesday night from Hank Aaron Stadium.

Jimmie Sherfy (W, 1-4) worked a scoreless sixth allowing a hit while walking one and striking out two in relief for Mobile. Josh Hodges (L, 1-1) in his start for Jacksonville generated six innings on the mound relinquishing four runs (all earned) on six hits (one home run) while walking four and striking out three. Silvino Bracho (S, 13) nailed down his 13th save of the year after hurling a scoreless ninth while allowing two hits and stranding the tying runs in scoring position.

The BayBears would get on the board in the bottom of the first, after Tom Belza walked to lead off the inning, to then steal second, and get knocked home courtesy of Zach Borenstein's RBI single pushing the BayBears ahead 1-0.

Now moving to the top of the second it was Eudy Pina leading off with a single, followed by Terrence Dayleg (HR, 2) blasting his second home run of the year that leaped the Suns ahead 2-1.

The BayBears would load the bases in the last of the second frame, after a Gabriel Guerrero single, and walks to Ronnie Freeman and Raul Navarro, that set the table for Edgar Garcia's RBI groundout to tie the game at two.

To the last of the sixth it was Mobile getting a runner on after Borenstein's single, and he would get sent home two batters later after Socrates Brito (HR, 5) belted a two run home run that moved his club in front 4-2.

To the top of the ninth Kenny Wilson laced a one out single and would move to second after a stolen base. After a double by Carlos Lopez putting the tying runs in scoring position, David Adams would ground out to third to end the threat.

Brian Ellington tossed a scoreless seventh frame for Jacksonville out of the bullpen. Kyle Barraclough in his second relief appearance with the Suns would pitch a scoreless eighth while allowing a hit. Edgar Garcia in his start for the BayBears lasted five frames surrendering two runs (both earned) on five hits (one home run) while walking two and striking out four.

The Suns and BayBears will square off once again Thursday night from Hank Aaron Stadium with a first pitch set for 8:05 p.m. ET. The Suns will send out left-hander Matt Tomshaw (4-8, 4.34 ERA) while the BayBears will counter with righty A.J. Schugel (7-2, 2.21 ERA).
