Bristol Blues News Release
In tonight's matchup between the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs and Bristol Blues, the Blues were able to scrounge up a 2-0 win to put themselves at 26-18 on the season and 4.5 games up on the second place seed Pittsfield Suns.
In the Blues showdown with the Dawgs, Tyler Packanik (Marietta) led the way with the only RBI on the game while the Blues were only limited to four hits.
Blues winning pitcher Kyle Dube (Fairfield) was able to go eight frames, allowing only four hits and no runs, and only needed help from Ty Robinson (Norheastern) for the last inning to close out the Dawgs and earn Robinson the save.
The Blues are back in action tomorrow, July 29, at Muzzy when the Torrington Titans come to Bristol. This will be the sixth installment of the "Mayor's Cup" between the two teams and the Blues have won every game, clinching the cup and earning the role as "Connecticut's Best FCBL Team" of 2015.
