July 28, 2015 - Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL)
Victor RailRiders News Release

The Riders lost in game one in what was a bit of a pitchers duel. There were only 7 hits combined the entire game, and Victor had only 2 of them.

Tyler Palm (Oakland University) earned the win for Utica after pitching 5.0 innings of 1 hit ball. He gave up just one run and struckout seven en route to his 3rd win of the summer. Mitch Patishall (University of Cincinnati) took the loss for the Riders despite giving up only 1 run on 4 hits.

Utica scored in the 4th, 5th and 7th while Victor's lone run came in the bottom of the 5th.

Kyle Schade (St. Andrews University) and Ryan Rosas (Corban University) had a hit and an RBI each for Utica while Mike Myers (Rochester Institute of Technology) and Connor Golden (Marietta College) had the lone hits for Victor.

Game 2 turned into a minor blowout as Utica was able to put together 11 hits and 8 runs in the 7 innings game while Victor again managed just the 1 run.

The Brewers took an early lead, scoring twice in first after loading the bases with no outs. Victor was able to score what would be their only run of the game in the bottom of that inning on a Mark Cardinalli (UC Davis) single.

5 different Brewers had 2 hits in game two with Alex Core (Youngstown State) adding 4 RBI's and Jared Baldinelli (St. Bonaventure) scoring 3 times despite not getting a hit (he walked 4 times).

Krystien Johnson-Batillana picked up his first win of the season after pitching 6.0 solid innings, giving up just 1 run and striking out 8 RailRiders.

The RailRiders will play their last regular season home game on Wednesday at 5:00 when they take on the Elmira Pioneers.
