The IronPigs earned the hardware with a 10-6 mark against SWB in 2014. With eight head-to-head meetings left, the RailRiders must best the 'Pigs six times to take the IronRail outright, or win five times including the Aug. 28 series finale.

CASE OF THE MONDAYS: The RailRiders fell to 4-9 (.308) in Monday games. They do not have a losing record on any other day of the week.

MISTER ROGERS' NEIGHBORHOOD: Starter Esmil Rogers (1-1) struck out a season-high-tying six and walked five. He had issued seven walks over his first six starts. He walked a career-worst seven while with the Colorado Rockies at St. Louis on Aug. 14, 2011. His five walks last night tied his MiLB career-high mark set on Sept. 6, 2009 with Triple-A Colorado Springs in a win at Tacoma.

DOMINANT RELIEF: Jose Ramirez struck out a season-high five men over 2.1 scoreless innings behind Rogers. He allowed just one man to reach base, Erik Kratz on a single. In seven appearances this month, Ramirez has allowed just 13 hits (.224 BAA) over 15.1 innings while walking three (1.04 WHIP) and striking out 18 (10.6/9 IP). July has made for his best month of the season in ERA (1.76) and GO/AO ratio (1.70).

THE WHIFF: Three SWB hurlers combined to strike out 13 IronPigs. Rogers' six strikeouts fell one shy of the team's season-high mark reached three times, most recently by Luis Severino at Lehigh Valley on June 21. Ramirez's five strikeouts came within one of SWB's season-best showing by a reliever reached five times, last by Nick Rumbelow at Lehigh Valley on June 19.

WHAT A RELIEF: With 3.2 scoreless innings from Ramirez and Pazos, the SWB bullpen has logged 15 shutout frames going back to the July 23 win at Indianapolis. The 'pen owns a collective 2.91 ERA compared to a 3.86 mark for the starting staff.

HERE'S THE PLAY AT THE PLATE: In the fifth inning the RailRiders nabbed Brian Bogusevic at the dish during a double-steal try 2-4-2. The putout was recorded by prospect catcher Gary Sanchez. The RailRiders' caught-stealing percentage with Sanchez behind the plate sits at .333 (5 of 15).

YOU'RE OUTTA HERE: Each team's manager was ejected last night. The RailRiders' Dave Miley was in the dugout when home plate man Jansen Visconti tossed him in the top of the fourth inning. It came after Rogers walked Chris McGuiness. Lehigh Valley's Dave Brundage was sent to the clubhouse by first-base umpire Doug Vines in the bottom of the sixth after Vines called a balk on Vasquez. For Miley, it was his second ejection of 2015. He was also tossed on June 12 in the 13-3 defeat of Rochester.
