July 27, 2015 - Eastern League (EL1)
Trenton Thunder News Release
Danny Oh went 2-for-3 with a walk and scored all three runs for the Thunder in their 3-2 victory over the Portland Sea Dogs on Monday night at ARM & HAMMER Park.
Thunder DH Juan Graterol, added to the team's roster prior to the game, drove in Oh in his first at-bat in a Thunder uniform with a base hit through the right side in the bottom of the second inning. Oh's run tied the game at one after the Sea Dogs scratched out the first run of the game in the top half of the inning.
The Thunder went ahead with a run-scoring single from Eddy Rodriguez in the bottom of the fourth, however, the Sea Dogs answered with a run of their own in the fifth when Tim Roberson drove in Carlos Asuaje.
With the game tied 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Oh walked to begin the inning and stole second to get into scoring position. Oh moved to third on a groundout by Dan Fiorito and scored his third run of the game when Eddy Rodriguez grounded out to third base.
Kyle Haynes started for the Thunder and allowed two runs in five innings on the mound. Jaron Long earned the win with the shutout innings of relief and Andrew Bailey finished off the victory with a 1-2-3 ninth inning.
Bailey lowered his ERA to 0.68 on the season and has allowed just 11 baserunners in 13.1 innings with 17 strikeouts.
The Thunder recorded 10 hits in the game, all singles. Including Sunday's game the team's last 17 hits have been singles.
