LAST GAME: The B-Mets beat the Trenton Thunder Friday night, 2-1, in 17 innings at Arm and Hammer Park. It was the longest game in B-Met history in terms of innings. Binghamton scored first on Brock Peterson's sixth home run of the season. Joe Benson later delivered the decisive run with an RBI single in the 17th inning. Robert Gsellman earned a no-decision, going a season-high 7.1 innings and allowing just one run. Six different B-Met relievers combined to 9.2 scoreless innings, allowing five total hits.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Rainy Lara is making his 12th start with Binghamton and second consecutive against Trenton. Lara allowed three runs in seven innings against Trenton in his last start to earn the win. Overall, it's Lara's third start against Trenton this season and the fourth of his career. He allowed seven runs and 11 hits in 5.2 innings at Arm & Hammer Park last July. Lara has won his last two B-Met starts, going seven innings in each.

TRENTON STARTER: RHP Brady Lail is making his 18th start and the first of his career against Binghamton. Lail allowed four runs in six innings against Portland in his last outing. He has a 1.40 ERA in eight home starts this season. Lail, who has not lost in six starts, has worked to a 2.10 ERA in his last 14 starts. He currently ranks sixth in the EL in ERA overall.

HISTORY MADE: Friday's win was the longest game in B-Mets history in terms of innings played (17). It passed the previous mark of 16 innings, which was reached in Binghamton's 9-6 loss against Erie, 7/4/14. Six B-Met relievers combined to toss 9.2 scoreless innings, allowing just five total hits. It was Binghamton's first extra inning win of the season.

FIRST TO 15: Binghamton became the first team in the league to win 15 games in the month of July. It's the most wins for Binghamton in a single month this season. The B-Mets are off to a 15-7 start in July, leading the league in team ERA (2.08). Binghamton has hit the second most home runs (18) in the month, one fewer than Bowie (19).

NEED FOR SPEED: Binghamton notched their first stolen base in eight games during the 10th inning of Friday's win. Binghamton is tied for the fewest steals in the league (41) and are 6-for-13 in their last 23 games.

CONFORTO CALLED UP: Michael Conforto went 0-for-3 with an RBI in his MLB debut Friday night against the Dodgers. Conforto became the 56th player to play with the Binghamton Mets and make his MLB debut with the New York Mets in the same season.

THREE IS A MAGIC NUMBER: Binghamton has allowed fewer than three runs in 14 of their last 17 games, including Friday's 17 inning victory. The B-Mets are 40-13 when holding their opponent to less than four runs in a game this season.

CLOSING TIME: Jon Velasquez has earned seven saves in the last 20 days, including Friday night, and has been successful in each of his last 12 save opportunities. Velasquez has retired the first batter he has faced in all 21 appearances this season. Paul Sewald has been successful in his last 14 save opportunities.

FIRST IMPRESSION: Joe Benson has reached base in each of his first 11 games with the B-Mets. The former big-leaguer has record a hit in 10 of the games, including the game winner Friday night. He has reached base multiple times in seven of the 11 games.

DIG THE LONGBALL: Binghamton has hit 17 home runs over their last 19 games, after hitting one in their previous seven. The B-Mets lead the league with 67 home runs. Binghamton is 40-14 when homering.
