Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a five-game losing streak as they take on the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants) in the third game of a four-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the Squirrels pitching staff limited the SeaWolves to just one run on eight hits as they handed the 'Wolves their fifth consecutive defeat... Righty Tommy Collier takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 18th start of the season, 11th with the SeaWolves and second against Richmond. Collier took a no-decision at Richmond on June 12. In the game, he allowed two runs on six hits with four walks and four strikeouts in five innings. Collier earned his third win in his last start against Altoona on July 20. In the game he allowed a run on two hits with two walks and five strikeouts in seven innings of work. Erie won the game 8-1 and Collier improved to 3-0 against the Curve...RHP Joe Biagini takes the mound for Richmond making his 17th appearance, 16th start and second start against the SeaWolves. Biagini took a loss to the 'Wolves on May 20 allowing five unearned runs on eight hits with no walks and four strikeouts in six innings. He earned a win in his last start against Altoona. In the game, Biagini allowed a run on five hits with two walks and two strikeouts in five innings.
