Bristol Blues News Release
In last night's matchup between the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs and Bristol Blues, the Blues were downed by a score of 3-0.
The Blues were held to a dismal two hits, one from Ryan Rinsky (Ramopo) and another from Ty Roberts (Georgia Regents). Davis Strong was one of the few bright spots from the game with his diving catch in centerfield in the top of the sixth inning which made it to number seven on ESPN Sportcenter's "Top 10 Plays".
Blues starting pitcher Troy Terzi (Post) went six and two thirds innings allowing two earned runs and ending his streak at 35.2 innings without allowing an earned run. Terzi was scored the loss on the game with Dirt Dawgs pitcher P.J Browne pitching the complete game shutout to earn the win.
The Blues are back in action tonight when they head to Pittsfield to take on the Pittsfield Suns for 7pm. Tim Cate (UCONN) is the probable starting pitcher for the Blues.
