The Chihuahuas scored in each inning from the fourth through seventh, including two sacrifice flies by Alex Dickerson and Cody Decker's team-leading 18th home run. Dickerson went 1-for-2 with two RBIs, one day after he went 5-for-5 with a walk. One of the Chihuahuas' sixth-inning runs arrived when former Padres' infielder Everth Cabrera dropped a pop up with two outs and Casey McElroy at third.
Will Middlebrooks made his Chihuahuas debut Thursday, entering in the sixth inning and going 0-for-2 at the plate. The Chihuahuas have won six of their last nine games.
