IRVINE, Calif. (July 17, 2015) - Orange County Blues FC has signed midfielder Milton Blanco. Most recently with Arizona United SC, Blanco made his Blues debut as a starter on July 16th at LA Galaxy II, playing 72 minutes.

A native of Fresno, Calif, Blanco played at Fresno Pacific University in 2004, while also playing with the Fresno Fuego of the USL PDL. Blanco played with Chivas USA during their inaugural 2005 season, before a season each with the Puerto Rico Islanders (2006), Fresno Fuego (2007), Harrisburg City Islanders (2008), and the Austin Aztex U23 (2009).

The midfielder returned to Fresno to play for the Fuego for two seasons in 2010 and 2011. He scored 12 goals and recorded 14 assists during his 2011 season, on his way to winning the 2011 USL PDL MVP Award.

Blanco played with the Charlotte Eagles, Atlanta Silverbacks, and FC Edmonton before signing with Arizona United SC ahead of the 2015 USL season. A change mid-season in Scottsdale allowed Blanco to sign with Orange County.

"I am delighted to add Milton to the Blues, as his experience and leadership will enhance the quality and professionalism of the team," said Head Coach and General Manager, Oliver Wyss.

The Blues next host Real Monarchs SLC on Saturday, July 25th. Kickoff at Anteater Stadium at UCI is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT.
