Juolevi & Mattinen Commit to London

London Knights News Release
London Knights General Manager Basil McRae announced today that the Knights first round selection in the 2015 CHL Import Draft and the Knights 6th round pick in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection, Olli Juolevi and Nicolas Mattinen, have both committed to and entered into Ontario Hockey League Standard Player's Agreements with the London Knights.

Known for confidence and composure when advancing the puck, Juolevi played last season with Jokerit's U-20 team. In 44 games played, the Finnish defender posted six goals and 26 assists in 2014-15. Juolevi also played for Finland at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka, posting one assist in four games.
A touted prospect for the upcoming 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Juolevi stands at 6'2" and 185lbs. Just last week, the NHL Central Scouting named the left-shooting defenceman to the 2016 NHL Entry Draft Futures list as a top prospect for scouts to keep an eye on along with London Knights goaltender Tyler Parsons and forwards Matthew Tkachuk and Max Jones.
A product of the Jokerit hockey club from Helsinki, Finland - one of the elite European hockey organizations - the London Knights Hockey Club would like to thank Jokerit's GM Jari Kurri and Assistant GM Janne Vuorinen for their cooperation during this process. Their understanding of Juolevi's pursuit to play in North America and the development opportunity with the London Knights was integral in the commitment of Juolevi to the Knights.
Juolevi will join the London Knights in late August for training camp and will wear #4 for the team next season. He's eligible for the 2016 NHL Entry Draft in Buffalo, NY.

NICOLAS MATTINEN
The 6'3" 230lbs defenceman spent last season playing with the Cumberland Grads of the Central Canada Hockey League. In 52 games played, Mattinen logged a lot of minutes, tallied 14 points (4 goals, 10 assists) and was named to the 2015 CCHL All-Rookie Team.
Mattinen will join the London Knights in late August for training camp and will wear #3 for the team next season. He's eligible for the 2016 NHL Entry Draft in Buffalo, NY.
