McInnis, Solar Bears Agree to Terms

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, announced that they have agreed to terms with forward Johnny McInnis.

McInnis (6-2, 203 lbs.) finished second on Orlando in goals (16) and third in points (47) in 62 games split between the Solar Bears and Florida Everblades last season. He led all Solar Bears with six points in six Kelly Cup Playoffs appearances, and was tied for second on the team with three goals. A rookie last season, McInnis made his professional debut playing two games for the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL) at the end of the 2013-14 season.

A native of Boston, MA, McInnis played four seasons (2010-14) for the Minnesota State University - Mankato Mavericks, where he posted 79 points (43 goals, 36 assists) in 133 games. McInnis led the Mavericks with 21 goals during his senior season (2013-14) while finishing third on the team with 38 points.

The Orlando Solar Bears, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, play all of their home games at the 2012 Street and Smith's Sports Business Journal Sports Facility of the Year, the Amway Center.
