Spokane Shock News Release

LOS ANGELES, California (July 12, 2015) - The Shock (4-9, 1-4) went on the road in Week 16 of the 2015 AFL regular season to take on the Los Angeles Kiss (2-11, 0-4) at the Honda Center, falling 34-28 to the LA KISS.

The Spokane Shock was held scoreless in the first half of play. Shock only had 2 opportunities in the red zone but failed to convert both attempts. KISS QB Danny Southwick connected with multiple receivers for scores in the first half (Gilson, Morgan, Goard and Sampson). Smith played the first half and was replaced by Nelson (J. Lewis Small Playmaker of the Game) in the second half. Shock rattled off 21 unanswered points in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 7 points, but late score by Kiss proved too much for Spokane to overcome. Had tying score opportunity in final drive, but after review ruled not a catch as Kiss held on to 34-28 win.

The Shock returns to Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena to host the Arizona Rattlers Friday, July 17 at 7:00 pm for Military Appreciation Night. Tailgating begins at 5:00 pm in north arena lot featuring a Coors Light Beer Garden and YMCA Kids Zone. Doors open at 6:00 pm as the first 3,500 fans receive Shock flags courtesy of Aarons. Kickoff at 7:00 pm brought to you by Aaron's and Rock 94.5 FM radio Spokane. For tickets visit any TicketsWest box office location, www.TicketsWest.com , or call 1-800-325-SEAT.
