Don't Forget: July 4th Fireworks and Baseball All Weekend Long at Chukchansi Park

July 3, 2015 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Fresno Grizzlies News Release

FRESNO, Calif. - The first-place Fresno Grizzlies are set to host the second-place Tacoma Rainiers starting on Saturday, July 4th at Chukchansi Park. The two top teams in the Pacific Northern Division, separated by only 6.0 games, will meet in an important four-game series through Tuesday, July 7th in Downtown Fresno.

A postgame fireworks extravaganza, presented by ABC30, is the signature promotion for the July 4th home game, but the Grizzlies are also putting on a pregame live concert (Chasing Indigo), holding a Hot Dog Eating Contest (presented by Armour Eckrich) during the second inning, and offering a Chorizo Mac & Cheese topped Hot Dog served out of the Dukes Downtown stand in right field. Gates to the park open at 5:35 to the general public and first pitch is set for 7:05 PM. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the box office or online through FresnoGrizzlies.com.

The Grizzlies will hold Military Appreciation Night (presented by PG&E) on Save Mart Sunday (July 5th) at 6:05 PM in the second game of the series against the Rainiers. Discounted $6 tickets are available to all past and present military service members and anyone in their group. Simply show proof of military service at the Chukchansi Park Box Office to redeem the deal. Fresno will wear Captain America themed jerseys on the field, along with red, white, and blue colored caps. The jerseys will be available for purchase in a silent auction held along the first base concourse. Proceeds from the jersey auction benefit Operation Homefront, which provides financial and food assistance, repairs, and help to the families of our service members and wounded warriors.

The four-game series continues into Monday and Tuesday with 7:05 PM starts. Monday features the Must Catch Monday deal, presented by The Fresno Bee, offering fans a $20 package that includes two Field Level Reserve game tickets, two Fresno Chaffee Zoo vouchers, two Blackbeard's Mini Golf passes, and two John's Incredible Pizza Children's Buffets.

The series finale on Tuesday night offers fans $2 Power Alley Seats (day of game only), $2 10-ounce Dos Equis drafts, $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Sodas, and 2-for-1 ticket offers in the Phoenix Club and Field Box sections. Tuesday is also International Chocolate Day, and the Grizzlies will include a chocolate fondue dessert for Phoenix Club ticket holders that purchase a dinner pass.
