San Jose Giants Mourn Passing of Richard "Woody" Woodard

San Jose Giants News Release
San Jose, CA- The San Jose Giants mourn the passing of Richard "Woody" Woodard, the longtime sound technician for the team. Woody, and his son Michael, are responsible for the sound system all fans get to enjoy throughout the ballpark: from the moment they walk into Municipal Stadium, as they walk around the concourse and Turkey Mike's BBQ and as they take in the game from their seats. He died on May 29 after a battle with cancer.
The Celebration of Life will be held at Municipal Stadium (588 E Alma Ave, San Jose, CA 95112) on Monday, July 6 beginning at 1:00 PM with a reception to follow. Fans and members of the community wishing to pay their respects are welcome to attend.
The family is accepting flowers in Richard "Woody" Woodard's name to be delivered to Municipal Stadium on July 6.
