Musgrave Deals in 8-1 Thwacking of the Blaze

Modesto, CA. - Ten hits backed Harrison Musgrave's gem in the Modesto Nuts' 8-1 victory over the Bakersfield Blaze on Wednesday night at John Thurman Field.
Musgrave (W, 10-1) worked seven dominant innings for the Nuts (38-38; 5-1) allowing just one hit. The only other baserunner came when he hit Austin Wilson in the fifth. Musgrave did not walk a batter and struck out eight including three of the final four he faced.
Eddie Campbell (L, 3-4) struggled in his start for the Blaze (27-49). The lefty allowed five runs on seven hits over 3.1 innings.
The top of the Nuts' order did a bulk of the damage. Raimel Tapia drove in a run in the three-run second; scored twice and recorded a pair of hits. Jordan Patterson clubbed a double and a triple while driving in three. Ryan McMahon reached four times on two walks, a single, and a double while driving in a run. Correlle Prime added a RBI single in the first. Troy Stein drove in Dillon Thomas with his only hit of the day.
The Nuts are back in action on Thursday night with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. against the Blaze.
