Brackets Released for The Basketball Tournament

(Saint John, NB): The brackets were released today for The Basketball Tournament, revealing possible matchups for Team Mill Rats. The complete brackets are found here: http://bracket.thetournament.com/#/
The Basketball Tournament is a 97-team, single elimination tournament with a winner-take-all cash prize of $1 million dollars.
"We are excited to see who we might play after months of building the rosters and attracting fans," said Mill Rats General Manager Ian McCarthy. "We are a very confident group heading into this tournament but it's going to be a war no matter who we play."
Team Mill Rats faces the winner between Illinois Hoopville Warriors and Mennonite Madness on Saturday July 18th at Depaul University at 11:00 AM (local time). Team Mill Rats earned a first round bye based on the number of fan votes received.
Illinois Hoopville Warriors, a huge favourite over Mennonite Madness, is a team that includes two former NBL Canada players in Billy Baptist (London Lightning) and Billy Rush (Island Storm), and other top Chicago area legends such as 6'8 Rico Hill and 6'3 guard Osiris Eldridge. This intriguing matchup would pitch Rush from the Island Storm against some of the Mill Rats players that were eliminated by the Storm at the buzzer of Game 5 of their NBL Canada playoff series in March.
Should Team Mill Rats advance, they would see the winner of Slam Magazine and One Chicago on Sunday the 19th. Slam Magazine includes former NBA players in Matt Walsh (Miami Heat), Josh Boone (NJ Nets), Erik Murphy (Chicago Bulls), and Sundiata Gaines (Utah Jazz). One Chicago featured Windsor Express stars Tony Bennett, Deandre Thomas, Demarcus Ellis, and also Al Stewart and Jonathan Mills from the London Lightning.
All games are going to be streamed online via www.thetournament.com.
