Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons take on the Gwinnett Braves in the finale of a three-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd has lost two straight to the G-Braves, 2-1 and 4-1 in 13 innings. Buffalo's homestand continues on Thursday and Friday with a two-game series against the Syracuse Chiefs.

vs. the Braves

The Bisons are 0-2 against the Braves this season. Buffalo will travel to Gwinnett August 7-9 to complete the season series. The G-Braves have now won eight of their last 10 games at Coca-Cola Field. Tonight's matchup is the 50th all-time between the Bisons and Braves (23-26).

Daniel Norris

LHP DANIEL NORRIS is 1-7 on the season, but has allowed more than three earned runs just once in 10 starts for the Herd. The Bisons have scored just 24 runs in those games. Norris matched a season-high with nine strikeouts in six innings in a loss last Wednesday against Lehigh Valley. He now has 60 strikeouts in just 55.2 innings this year.

Mound Work

The Bisons have posted a 2.93 ERA over the first three months of the season -the 2nd-best mark in the International League. Herd hurlers have allowed a league-low 30 home runs and are tied for the 4th-fewest walks allowed (233). Opponents have scored on the Bisons in just five of 49 innings over the past five games.

Chad Jenkins

RHP CHAD JENKINS has allowed just one run in his last 11 outings (two starts) and 22.0 innings of work since May 25. Along with a 0.41 ERA, the righty has issued just two walks to 15 strikeouts over the stretch. Overall, Jenkins has a 2.37 ERA in 20 starts with the Herd.

Bisons Bits

Hitting Coach Richie Hebner will continue serving as the team's manager for the next two days as Gary Allenson will take his Blue Jays-mandated four-day break...Even with last night's loss, the Bisons are a league-best 27-5 when scoring first...The Blue Jays activated INF STEVE TOLLESON off his MLB rehab assignment with the Bisons and designated him for assignment...INF MATT HAGUE has started 76 of the Bisons 78 games this year with one pinch-hit appearance.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (41-38) lost to the Red Sox, 4-3, on Tuesday night. Jose Reyes hit a two-run home run in the contest. Toronto is already underway today against Boston in a Canada Day matinee. After tomorrow's game against the Red Sox, the Blue Jays wrap up the first half with 10 road games.
