Chester, Pa. (June 30, 2015) - D.C. United fell to the Philadelphia Union, 2-1, at PPL Park in the Round of 16 in the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
Following a 24th-minute red card for Philadelphia forward C.J. Sapong, Jairo Arrieta put United ahead in the 27th minute before the Union scored twice in the second half. The game was delayed due to weather during the first half.
D.C. United leads the MLS Supporters Shield standings and returns to action in regular season play against the Seattle Sounders at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Wash., on Friday, July 3 (UniMas, 11 p.m. EST).
