Baysox Sweep Doubleheader from Erie

The SeaWolves were swept in doubleheader action on Monday night by the Bowie Baysox 6-3 and 2-1.
Erie got off to a fast start in game one, building an early lead. Harold Castro led off with a single and scored on a Jeff McVaney triple for a 1-0 lead. Wynton Bernard followed with a walk, putting runners on the corners for Jason Krizan. Krizan hit into a fielder's choice, plating McVaney for a 2-0 lead. Krizan later scored on a Connor Harrell single making it 3-0.
The Baysox answered in the third inning, cutting it to a one-run game against Erie starter Chad Green. Garabez Rosa and Quincy Latimore each singled to start the inning. With two outs, Ozzie Martinez doubled home the runners making it 3-2.
The Baysox took the lead in the fourth. Brandon Snyder led off with a single and moved to second on a Drew Dosch walk. The runners advanced on a two-out Rosa single and scored on a Latimore double.
Bowie extended its lead in the seventh. Latimore led off with a single and advanced on a groundout. Martinez followed with a walk putting two on for Rossmel Perez. Perez grounded to second and on an error, reached safely, allowing Latimore to score for a 5-3 lead. David Freitas then double, scoring Martinez from third for a 6-3 lead.
Green (2-10) took the loss, allowing four runs on eight hits with two walks and four strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work.
GAME TWO
The Baysox jumped ahead early in game two of Monday's doubleheader in the top of the second against Erie starter Warwick Saupold when Brandon Snyder led off with a solo home run to left for a 1-0 lead.
Bowie would increase its lead in the third. Tucker Nathans led off with a single and scored on a Corbin Joseph double making it 2-0.
The SeaWolves answered in the bottom of the fourth. Tony Thomas led off with a single and Connor Harrell walked putting two on for Alberto Gonzalez. Gonzalez, picked up his first SeaWolves knock when he connected on a ground rule double, scoring Thomas, cutting the lead down to a run a 2-1. The 'Wolves would get no closer.
Saupold (2-6) took the loss allowing two runs on six hits with a walk and two strikeouts in six innings of work.
