SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Chiefs defenseman Evan Fiala was invited to and is participating in the Florida Panthers annual development camp this week in Coral Springs, Florida. The camp includes 26 players (seven defensemen), including a mix of drafted and undrafted prospects, with scheduled events running June 29 through July 2.
Fiala, a 6'4", 193-pound blueliner from Clavet, Sask., led the Chiefs in penalty minutes last season with 107 while chipping in 12 assists in 68 games. He was Spokane's first round (14th overall) selection in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft.
The Spokane Chiefs open the 2015-16 regular season with Bud Light Opening Night on Saturday, September 26 at Spokane Arena. Ticket packages are on sale now and start as low as $110.
