Winston-Salem Dash News Release

LYNCHBURG, Va. (June 27, 2015) - Saturday's series finale between the Winston-Salem Dash and Lynchburg Hillcats was suspended due to rain with two outs in the top of the second inning and Lynchburg on top 3-1 at Calvin Falwell Field.

The date of the completion of the suspended game has yet to be announced. The clubs will not play again in Lynchburg this season, but the Hillcats return to Winston-Salem from July 19-21.

Winston-Salem plated a run in the first inning, with a Jake Peter double followed immediately by a Trey Michalczewski RBI single to put the Dash up 1-0.

Luigi Rodriguez singled and stole second base to begin the bottom half of the first. Two batters later, Bradley Zimmer's double drove him in to tie the game at one. After a walk and a strikeout, back-to-back RBI singles by Eric Haase and Mike Papi gave Lynchburg a 3-1 advantage.

Winston-Salem begins a three-game series Sunday with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Matt Heidenreich (8-2, 2.77 ERA) goes for the Dash against Myrtle Beach's Jonathan Martinez (5-1, 2.95 ERA). Television coverage is available on My48 starting at 5 p.m. Pregame radio coverage is available at 4:45 on wsdash.com/broadcast and the TuneIn App.

This homestand begins with a Family Sunday, meaning hot dogs and sodas are just $1 through the end of the second inning of Sunday's contest. Plus, a few Dash players will be available before the game for autographs. For tickets, call the Dash at (336) 714-2287 or visit wsdash.com.
