Speers, White Selected Saturday to New Jersey

With the 2015 NHL Entry Draft (BB&T Center, Sunrise FLA) entering Day 2 on Saturday, a pair of Greyhounds would be selected to the Garden State and the New Jersey Devils.

Sault Ste. Marie native BLAKE SPEERS was selected with the 6th pick of the 3rd Round (67th overall) before COLTON WHITE (London, ON) would be selected with the 6th pick of the 4th Round (97th overall).

Both players are coming off their second season with the Hounds.

In Speers, the 5.11, 185-lb forward had a career best season in 2014-15 notching 24 goals and 43 assists, good for 67 points in the regular season before grabbing 9 points in 14 post-season games.

White, a 6.01, 185-lb rearguard had a 22 point campaign (6g, 16) along with 2 assists in 14 playoff games.
