Revs Washed out in Waldorf
June 23, 2015 - Atlantic League (AtL)
York Revolution News Release
Tuesday night's scheduled contest between the York Revolution and Southern Maryland Blue Crabs at Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf, MD was postponed due to rain. The two teams will play a twi-night doubleheader featuring two seven inning contests beginning at 6:05 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
The Revs trailed 5-0 after one inning of play when the tarp was pulled. Shortly thereafter, a long string of severe thunderstorms and heavy rain pounded the area. After waiting more than 90 minutes, the game was finally called.
York lefty Logan Williamson (2-3, 2.16) will start the opener of Wednesday's doubleheader for the Revs, with righty Shawn Hill (1-7, 4.85) getting the nod in the nightcap, returning to the mound after starting Tuesday's rainout. Southern Maryland has yet to announce a game one starter, but will call on lefty Brian Burres (2-4, 3.95) in the second game. Revs fans can catch the action live on SportsRadio 1350, woyk1350.com, and on the WOYK mobile apps beginning at 5:45 p.m. with Darrell Henry on the call.
