NASHVILLE, TN (June 23, 2015) - The Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) is proud to announce the Week 14 Players of the Week.

Offensive Player of the Week: QB Garrett Sutphen (Alabama)

One week after being named the Co-Offensive Player of the Week, Alabama QB Garrett Sutphen (6'3 220, UNC Pembroke) won't have to share the nod with anyone with this week especially after his seven touchdown performance in the Hammers 60-57 victory over Columbus. Sutphen completed 18 of 32 passes for 302 yards throwing five touchdowns while running in another two. As the only PIFL QB to pass for over 3,000 yards, Garrett and company ended the year on a two game winning streak with four of their five wins this season coming against teams who made the playoffs.

Honorable Mention: WR Jordan Jolly (Nashville), WR Maurice Dupree (Alabama)

Defensive Player of the Week: DB Kenny Veal (Nashville)

With an outside chance to clinch the second seed, the defending champion Nashville Venom played spoiler over the weekend defeating Trenton 57-37 knocking the Freedom from the playoff ranks. DB Kenny Veal (5'10 185, Toledo) finished with a game-high 8.5 tackles and more importantly two interceptions as the Venom ran away thanks to a 21-point 4th quarter. Holding opposing quarterbacks to a

league-low 48.6 completion percentage, the defending champs will have to start their 2015 playoff run on the road in Richmond this Monday night.

Honorable Mention: DL Brandon Sparrow (Richmond), DB Malik Cromartie (Richmond)

Special Teams Player of the Week: K Christian Reed (Nashville)

Previously named the Special Teams Player of the Week twice this season, Venom kicker Christian Reed (5'9 170, Wofford) earned his third nomination this past weekend leading all kickers in scoring with 15 points going a perfect 6 of 6 on PAT tries, 2 of 4 on field goal attempts, as well as wedging in three Uno's. It's Reed's first nom since Week 6 and now winners of two straight Nashville will look to avenge their Week 12 loss to the Raiders hoping to earn a berth to their second consecutive Championship game.

Honorable Mention: K Brandon Rutherford (Alabama)

The 2015 PIFL Playoffs kick off this Saturday when the fourth seeded Steelhawks head south to meet up with the top-seeded Lions. Then on Monday the defending champion Venom face off against Richmond for the second time in less than a month.
