RICHMOND, Va. (June 20, 2015) - In dominating fashion, the Richmond Raiders (8-4) rolled over Erie (2-9) Saturday night at the Richmond Coliseum with a score of 77-8. With the win, the Raiders cemented their second-place league standing and will now host their first playoff game against Nashville. This was the Raiders' second win over Erie this season, with the first coming in Erie back on May 10 with a score of 70-46.

From the beginning, the Raiders were ready to play. WR Ron Davis opened up the game with a touchdown just 1:15 into the first quarter. DB Kevin Allen ended the quarter with a pick six, and the Raiders were off to the races. They outscored Erie 20-0 in the first quarter, and in the second quarter, a DB Rece Throne pick six, followed by two more touchdowns would put the game out of reach for Erie. Impressively, the defense held Erie to just one touchdown during the game which came in the third quarter. In all, the Raider defense, a cornerstone of the team throughout the season, recorded eight sacks for a loss of 59 yards.

The Raiders split time between two quarterbacks in the win. Jonathan Bane and Phil Konopka both saw the field, with Konopka coming in to replace Bane in the third quarter. Bane completed four of seven passes for 88 yards and three touchdowns, while Konopka was a perfect six of six for 188 yards and three touchdowns. Bane also rushed for one more touchdown during the game. Six other Raiders made it in for scores - LB Brandon Robinson (2), Davis, WR Robert Holland (2), WR Daron Clark, WR Herb Jones, and lineman James Carter. Davis hauled in two catches for 58 yards, and Holland was close behind with two catches for 52 yards.

For Erie, QB Steffen Colon completed 13 of 34 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown. He split time with Mason Espinosa, who would connect on nine of 23 passes for 98 yards. WR Terry Jackson scored the lone touchdown for the Explosion. Offensively, Alfonso Hollard led all receivers with 10 catches for 116 yards.
