After three games dominated by pitching, defense and a handful of big swings of the bat, the RockHounds and San Antonio Missions combined for 15 runs on 31 hits, and did it despite playing virtually the entire game in the rain at Nelson Wolff Stadium.

The RockHounds batted around in a five-run sixth inning, erasing a 4-2 deficit, and went on to defeat the Missions, 9-6. The 'Hounds won the series, three-games-to-one, and the victory was also the club's sixth in its last seven games.

Six RockHounds had multiple-hit games, led by Jaycob Brugman, who went 4-for-4 with a triple, two runs, a walk and an RBI (see below). Bruce Maxwell and Chad Pinder (see below) both had three-hit games, with Maxwell driving in three runs.

Matt Olson, Colin Walsh and Josh Whitaker each collected two hits. Olson, hitting just .128 in his last 15 games, busted loose with a double and a towering solo home run to center field. Walsh, who has now reached base in 11 straight games, went 2-for-4, with a walk and a two-run double, his league-leading 22nd of the season. Colin is hitting .361 in his last 22 games.

Indicative of the "domination of the bats," the clubs went up-and-down in order just twice in the game - - - the RockHounds in the top of the first, and San Antonio in the bottom of the ninth. Seth Frankoff retired the Missions, 1-2-3, to end the game and earn his second save.
