Americans Trade Gutierrez to Hurricanes

KENNEWICK, WA- Tri-City Americans today have dealt veteran 20-year-old Justin Gutierrez to the Lethbridge Hurricanes for a 4th round bantam draft in the 2017 WHL Entry Level Bantam Draft.
"With an ability to keep only three 20-year-old players, this was an opportunity to keep Justin in the league and get value for the hockey club in return," said governor/general manager Bob Tory. "The entire organization wishes Justin all the best with the Hurricanes."
Last season, Gutierrez appeared in 67 games and a career best 11 goals, 29 points and 78 PIM's. In four seasons with the Americans, the 6'4", 200 pound native of Anchorage, AK played in 186 games and had 18 goals, 59 points and 218 PIM's.
