Reign FC to Host Women's World Cup Viewing Party with Seattle Sounders FC at THE NINETY on June 22

SEATTLE (June 19, 2015) - Seattle Reign FC today announced that it will host an exclusive viewing party at THE NINETY in conjunction with Seattle Sounders FC for the U.S. Women's National Team (USWNT) upcoming Round of 16 match against Columbia in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup on Monday, June 22 at 5:00 p.m. PT. Space is limited so fans looking to attend should RSVP here today.
Reign FC forward Megan Rapinoe has been instrumental for the Red, White and Blue, tallying two goals and assist through three matches. She was also awarded FIFA Player of the Match honors in the USWNT's tournament opener against Australia.
On the defensive end, Reign FC goalkeeper Hope Solo allowed just one goal and recorded two shutouts in three matches to bring her career shutout tally to 86. She also now has 173 caps with the USWNT, which ties her for most by a goalkeeper in U.S. history with Brianna Scurry (1994-2008).
The USA rounded out group play on Tuesday, June 16 with a 1-0 win over Nigeria. With the win- paired with a 3-1 defeat over Australia and a nil-nil draw against Sweden- the USWNT finished at the top of Group D with seven points.
The USWNT continue their World Cup quest in Edmonton, Canada against the Colombia Women's National Team in the Round of 16 on Monday, June 22. Columbia finished third in Group F, drawing 1-1 with Mexico, beating France 2-0 and losing to England 2-1. Kickoff is currently set for 5:00 p.m. PT.
Doors to THE NINETY will open an hour prior to kick-off at 4:00 p.m. PT. Food and beverages will be available and fans will have the opportunity to purchase select items from the #SRFCUSA Collection.
Registrants will need to bring their tickets as well as a photo ID for entry. Please note that this event is open to minors.
THE NINETY, located in the Pioneer Square neighborhood at the base of Seattle Sounders FC headquarters, is a cultural hub of soccer and gathering place for all soccer fans to celebrate the world's game. The space showcases the history of Sounders FC while providing another avenue for the club to better engage its fans.
