13 CHL Players Named to U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that 13 CHL players are among the 39 players that have been invited to the U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp, August 1-8, in Lake Placid, New York.
The players will audition for a spot on the U.S. National Junior Team that will compete at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship which takes place December 26, 2015, through January 5, 2016, in Helsinki, Finland.
Among the CHL invitees are Top Scorer Conor Garland of the Moncton Wildcats who finished tied for the CHL lead with 129 points this season. In addition, the roster includes three CHL returning members of the U.S. National Junior Team that competed at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship in Montreal and Toronto including goaltender and New York Rangers prospect Brandon Halverson of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, defenceman and 2015 NHL Draft top prospect Brandon Carlo of the Tri-City Americans, and Columbus Blue Jackets forward prospect Sonny Milano of the Flint Firebirds. Goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic (Flint Firebirds) who was also a member of last year's team will miss the camp due to injury.
The 13 CHL players includes six from the Ontario Hockey League, six from the Western Hockey League, and one from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. 10 of the players listed competed in the league this past season, while three players who have committed to CHL clubs for the 2015-16 season are also listed below.

The camp, which will take place at Lake Placid's Olympic Center will feature practices, intra-squad scrimmages and international games against Finland and Sweden.
