Oldham Selected for U.S. Junior Evaluation Camp

RALSTON, NE - USA Hockey today announced the roster that has been invited to U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp in Lake Placid, New York. Omaha's Kris Oldham, along with 14 other USHL players have been chosen to compete for a spot on the United States National Junior Team that will participate in the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship from December 26th until January 5th in Finland.

"It's a huge honor to be invited to U.S National Junior Evaluation Camp this year and I am extremely excited to compete for a spot and represent my country," said Oldham. "I would like to acknowledge and thank my coaches, teammates, and the Omaha Lancers organization for helping me achieve this honor by pushing me to be better every day."

In his first year with the Lancers, the Anchorage, Alaska native went 21-6-5 in 33 games played. He maintained a 2.49 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage. Oldham was also selected as the USHL Goaltender of the Week four times by the league.

The United States has won a medal in three of their last six IIHF World Junior Championships, including their most recent Gold Medal in 2013. All players invited will skate in games and practices at Lake Placid Olympic Center's 1980 Herb Brooks Arena. The U.S. players will practice and compete in international games against Finland and Sweden.

Other USHL players chosen were Luke Opilka (USA), Caleb Jones (USA), Chad Krys (USHL), Charlie McAvoy (USA), Brock Boeser (Waterloo), Jeremy Bracco (USA), Kyle Connor (Youngstown), Christian Fischer (USA), Erik Foley (Cedar Rapids), Jordan Greenway (USA), Auston Matthews (USA), Jack Roslovic (USA), Matthew Tkachuk (USA), Colin White (USA).
