Atlanta Dream to Host Dads & Daughters Brunch Sunday Prior to Game vs. New York

ATLANTA, June 17, 2015 - The WNBA Atlanta Dream announced today that it will host an Inspiring Women: Dads & Daughters Brunch on Sunday, June 21, at the Marriott Marquis Atlanta prior to the team's Father's Day game against New York. The brunch will take place from 12:30-2:15 p.m. ET in advance of the 3 p.m. game against the Liberty.

The brunch will feature as its keynote speaker Antonio Davis, a former NBA player and current ESPN NBA analyst. The program will also include a pair of panels - one comprised of dads and the other of daughters. The program is part of the Dream's Inspiring Women E.N.E.R.G.Y. Seminar Series platform, which supports one of the Dream's primary objectives of empowering women. The 2015 E.N.E.R.G.Y. Seminar Series is presented by The Coca-Cola Company and launched in May with the "How to Build Your Brand" seminar with Wendy Clark as the keynote speaker.

"We are proud to celebrate the special bond between girls and the father figures in their lives with this unique program as part of our Inspiring Women platform," said Dream President and General Manager Angela Taylor. "We want to honor the fathers, grandfathers, uncles and/or male figures in the lives of girls and women for the role they have played in supporting, empowering, and educating their daughters We look forward to providing an experience that will create special memories to cherish for years to come, while also educating participants on how they can strengthen and enhance their relationships even further."

The three-time Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream is in its eighth season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Dream plays its home games at Philips Arena, with the next home game slated for June 19 at 7:30 p.m. ET vs. the Chicago Sky. The Dream has qualified for the playoffs in each of the past six seasons, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
