Tacoma Rainiers News Release

TACOMA, Wash. - Forrest Snow and Edgar Olmos combined to hold the Albuquerque Isotopes to just one hit in a 4-1 Tacoma victory Sunday afternoon at Cheney Stadium.

Snow worked 7.0 innings of one-hit, one-run ball for his fourth win of the season. The lone base hit allowed by the Rainiers was a Drew Stubbs triple off Snow to lead off the second inning. Over his last four starts, Snow is 3-0 with a 1.48 ERA.

Olmos tossed 2.0 perfect innings with three strikeouts out of the Rainiers bullpen to secure the victory and earn his first save with the Rainiers.

Carlos Rivero led the Rainiers offense with his 3-for-4, one RBI performance. Chris Taylor, Shawn O'Malley, and Leon Landry all checked in with two hits.

Stubbs opened the second inning with a leadoff triple to deep left-center and came in to score two batters later on a sacrifice fly to give the Isotopes a 1-0 lead.

Taylor reached base on a one-out single in the third inning and O'Malley put the Rainiers on top 2-1 with a home run over the left field wall, his third home run of the season.

Jesus Montero walked to open the Rainiers sixth, while a Stefen Romero double and Patrick Kivlehan walk loaded the bases with no outs for Rivero, who smacked his second single of the game into left-center to push in an insurance run.

Three consecutive single from Rivero, Landry, and Leury Bonilla in the eighth inning gave the Rainiers their final run of the day and a 4-1 lead that would hold for the win.

The Rainiers head back on the road to open a three-game set with the Reno Aces tomorrow, June 15. Righty Logan Bawcom (0-1, 2.48) will make his first start of the season for Tacoma, and will face off against Reno right-hander Edgar Garcia (1-0, 3.75). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
