Storm Dominates Last Away Game Of The Season

Sioux Falls, SD- The Sioux Falls Storm perfected their season to 13-0 after winning against the Green Bay Blizzard on June 13th in Wisconsin. The Storm had a 75-31 victory.

The Storm controlled both sides of the ball to cap the Blizzard's fate. The Storm would first strike in the first quarter when Lorenzo Brown and Judd Harrold connected on a two-yard touchdown reception. That would give the Storm a 7-0 lead after Justin Syrovatka's PAT was successful.

Brandon Johnson-Farrell finished the game with 45 yards, eight rushing attempts for 34 yards and 11 yards on one reception compiling two touchdowns. Storm quarterback, Lorenzo Brown threw for 122 yards while completing 10 of 17 of his passes, throwing a total of three touchdowns and one interception. Brown also rushed for 13 yards on six attempts with one touchdown. Judd Harrold finished the game with 115 yards off of eight receptions earning one touchdown.

James Terry, the 6'4" wide receiver from Kansas State University owned the longest play of the night with a 37-yard rushing touchdown. Terry finished the game with 45 yards off of three rushing attempts while gathering one touchdown. The Storm Thunder Defense compiled 42 total tackles, 11 of which were for a loss, five sacks, three interceptions, three pass breakups, one block, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries.

The Blizzard's quarterback, Donovan Porterie threw for 141 yards while completing 19 of 35 of his passes, throwing three touchdowns and three interceptions. McCain also rushed for nine yards on two attempts. Carl Simms finished the game with 80 yards off of nine receptions while collecting two touchdowns. Whitehead also rushed for 14 yards on four attempts.

The Sioux Falls Storm will face the Cedar Rapids Titans on June 20h at the Storm Shelter. The game will kickoff at 7:05 pm. The game will host a fundraiser for Firefighter Dustin Luebke, a 31-years-old father of three, who is in his second recurrence with Hodgkin's Lymphoma after a seven-month remission.
