Uchyn and Carroll Commit to College

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX - The Lone Star Brahmas are pleased to congratulat forwards Roman Uchyn and Quinn Carroll, who each announced that they will play collegiate hockey next season at the DIII level.
Uchyn (6'2", 205) will play for the prestigous St. Norbert College in the fall. He finished the regular season with 29 points and team-high 131 penalty minutes, but the entire league took note of his strong performance in the Robertson Cup Playoffs. The Chicago, Illinois native led the Brahmas in goals (7) and plus-minus rating (+5) through ten playoff games. The power forward also competed on the team's power play and he showed his physical presence throughout the season. Uchyn currently ranks fifth on the NAHL Brahmas all-time scoring list with 55 total points through 72 games.
Carroll (5'9", 180) announced that he will continue his hockey career close to home at Plymouth State University. He finished the regular season with 23 points and was an excellent centreman in the faceoff circle. The Amherst, New Hampshire native's bread and butter was eating minutes and playing on the team's top penalty kill line that ranked second in the league with an 88 percent kill rate on the penalty kill. He is a strong two way forward with good speed and is often the first forward back on the forecheck.
They become the ninth and tenth Brahma from the 2014-15 active roster to announce their collegiate commitments.
