Charlotte Hounds News Release

BOSTON, MA (June 2, 2015) - Major League Lacrosse today announced the event roster for the 2015 MLL All-Star Game to be held on June 13th at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Charlotte Hounds will be represented by defenseman Ryan Flanagan, faceoff specialist Brendan Fowler and midfielder John Haus.

The final teams will be chosen the night prior, on June 12th, in a draft decided by this year's "MLL Ultimate Fan Fantasy" contest winners. Earlier in the season, fans had the opportunity to enter the "MLL Ultimate Fan Fantasy," where two winners were selected to receive an All-Star Game experience of a lifetime. This year's "MLL Ultimate Fan" winners, Hayden MacArthur and Ethan Sorkin, will not only attend a full schedule of All-Star Game festivities but will also select their own MLL All-Star team in a playground style draft the night before the big game.

The 2015 MLL All-Star Game marks the fourth straight for Flanagan. The long stick has been selected for the event every year he has been in the league. "It's truly an honor to represent Charlotte and all of our great fans," said Flanagan. "It really is an amazing experience. You look at the roster each year and it's a 'who's who' of the best players in the world. The fans also get unparalleled access throughout the weekend, creating a once in a lifetime experience for everyone involved."

Flanagan this season has appeared in six games, recording three goals. His 26 groundballs rank second on the team, behind only Fowler. The faceoff specialist, a first-time MLL All-Star selection, has collected 54 groundballs and won 54.2% of his draws at the X. Fowler also scored his first two MLL goals in a game against the Outlaws on May 3. "I was really excited when I found out that I had been selected to the All-Star Game this year," said Fowler. "I put a lot of hard work in this offseason and it feels good to see it pay off. I am looking forward to spending time with the other guys in the league and getting to know them more."

Another first-time All-Star selection is Haus, the Hounds' co-captain. Haus currently leads the team with 16 points (13g, 1-2pt g, 2a) and boasts a 48.1 shot-on-goal percentage. "I am extremely honored to be selected and to be considered in the same category as the best players in the world is such a privilege," said Haus. "I would like to thank the whole Hounds organization, from the front office to the coaches and most importantly my fellow teammates, for helping me achieve this honor. It's great to play against the best each and every week, but to now play with them is a special opportunity. It will be a great experience getting to know the other guys participating in the game better."

As the 2014 MLL Championship Game head coaches, the 2015 All-Star teams will be coached by Denver Outlaws Head Coach B.J. O'Hara and Rochester Rattlers Head Coach Tim Soudan.

The 2015 MLL All-Star Game marks the first time Major League Lacrosse will be taking the field in Houston. The game will be televised live, exclusively on CBS Sports Network at 7:00 pm ET. For ticket info, please visit majorleaguelacrosse.com/all-star-game/
