Evansville Otters News Release

Evansville, IN- The Otters are proud to announce the first player to pick up a Frontier League player/pitcher of the week award for the ball club in 2015 is Trevor Walch for his performance against the Windy City Thunderbolts on Friday May 29th.

Walch earned his Pitcher of the Week honors in a dominant performance out on the mound with his second professional complete game shutout. He tossed the complete game shutout against the Thunderbolts and faced the minimum through the first 6.2 innings. He finished the outing with an impressive line; scattering five hits and striking out seven while walking just one batter, which occurred in the ninth inning, and of course, not allowing any runs.

It was Walch's first win of the 2015 season, bringing his record to .500 at 1-1. He is in his third season with the club and the stellar outing plummeted his ERA to 1.80. Walch's next scheduled start is slated for Friday again on the road, this time against the Joliet Slammers at 7:05 CDT P.M.

The Frontier League Player and Pitcher of the Week are chosen by Pointsteak, which is the official statistical provider of the Frontier League and the Independent Professional Baseball Federation.
