June 1, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Rochester Americans News Release

(Rochester, NY)... HARBORCENTER Vice President and Director of the Academy of Hockey Kevyn Adams and Rochester Americans Vice President of Business Operations Rob Kopacz today announced plans for the inaugural Academy of Hockey Squirt Development Camp Presented by the Rochester Americans. The unique, pro-style camp will run from Monday, July 20 through Friday, July 24 at Bill Gray's Regional Iceplex in Rochester. AAA travel players born in 2005 and 2006 are invited to register beginning today.

"After beginning our very successful Pee Wee Development Camp last year in Buffalo, we are very pleased to introduce a similar, high-end experience to AAA squirt players," Adams said. "It's our goal in these camps to cultivate the talent of these young players by giving them the tools they need to maximize their hockey potential. We embrace this opportunity to partner with the Rochester Americans and host this program in the Rochester area."

"We're excited for the opportunity to partner with the Academy of Hockey and assist in bringing such a high level of professional and passionate hockey instruction to the Rochester community," said Kopacz. "Our hope is that this camp will serve as a starting point for providing additional Academy of Hockey programing in Rochester for other age groups in the future."

Similar to The Academy's signature Pee Wee Development Camp, hosted at downtown Buffalo's HARBORCENTER, this squirt-level camp will deliver a holistic, NHL-rivaled experience that's focused on on-ice development, off-ice training, team building activities and pro-style amenities. The five-day camp will include a total of 8.5 hours of on-ice training, with six development sessions and one game session. Participants will receive NHL and college level on-ice instruction, off-ice training and testing conducted by IMPACT Sports Performance, off-ice team activities and skill development, NHL guest speakers, and classroom video sessions. The camp also features full "pro-style" locker room amenities, including Academy of Hockey practice jerseys, game jerseys and off-ice training apparel. All participants will also be given two tickets to the Rochester Americans 2015-16 home opener.

AAA travel players interested in this elite-level training camp can register online at HARBORCENTER.com or Amerks.com.
