RailHawks Announce Time Change for the 2015 Fall Season Home Opener on July 4th
May 29, 2015 - North American Soccer League (NASL)
North Carolina FC News Release
Cary, NC (May 29, 2015) - The Carolina RailHawks and the North American Soccer League announced today that the kickoff time for the RailHawks 2015 Fall Season home opener against Minnesota United on Saturday, July 4th has been changed to 5:00 pm ET.
The match will be broadcast live nationwide on ESPN3, locally in Minnesota on KSTC45-TV and via radio in The Triangle on 99.9HD-3 The Ticket.
"This is a change we have been considering for quite a while now. Because the 4th of July falls on a Saturday night, there are many fireworks shows in the communities and cities closely surrounding WakeMed Soccer Park on the same night as our game. In an effort to make sure our fans can get to and from the stadium without encountering heavy traffic that will take place on the evening on July 4th, we made the decision to move the start time of the game up to 5:00pm. This will alleviate traffic issues for our fans and enable those that want to see a fireworks show the time to do so. We look forward to the game and all of the fun of July 4th!"
The Carolina RailHawks will be on the road Saturday, May 30th taking on Jacksonville Armada FC at Community First Park at 7:30 PM ET. The match will be broadcast live on WRAL2.
The team will return to WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday, June 6th, at 7:30 pm, when they host Minnesota United FC.
