Nuts Shut Out in Rancho

Rancho Cucamonga, CA. - Jon Richy dominated the Modesto Nuts on Thursday night sending them to a 7-0 loss against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Thursday night at LoanMart Field.

Richy (W, 6-2) spun a complete-game shutout of the Nuts allowing just four hits while striking out five and walking none in his start for the Quakes (26-20). The Nuts (23-24) had two scoring opportunities in the game. Rosell Herrera delivered a one-out single in the first. In the fifth, Troy Stein was thrown out at the plate trying to score on a two-out single by Wilson Soriano.

Antonio Senzatela (L, 3-3) allowed three straight singles in the second to allow the first run to score. In the third, he surrendered a two-run homer to Cody Bellinger. In the fourth, a passed ball brought in the fourth run on Senzatela's ledger. The righty allowed four runs, three earned, while walking one and striking out five.
