Powerful Offense Not Enough for Bullfrogs

Green Bay, Wis.- The Green Bay Bullfrogs lost 14-11 in a slugfest with the St. Cloud Rox at Joannes Stadium on May 28. The game featured a combined 25 runs and 34 hits.
The Bullfrogs finished with 17 hits, and eight of the nine players in the lineup recorded at least one hit. Seven Green Bay batters had a multi-hit game.
Paul Jacobson finished with three hits including a run and a RBI. Catcher Axel Poesmans played well in his Bullfrogs debut, hitting 2-for-4 with a pair of runs batted in. Tyler McDowell had a three-hit night for Green Bay with a pair of runs scored and a RBI.
Caleb Ratzman, Billy Mullins, Ryan Donovan and Matthew De La Rosa each had two hits for the Bullfrogs.
The Bullfrogs scored in six innings, but St. Cloud used a seven-run third inning and a five-run ninth to come away with the victory.
Green Bay's record stands at 1-2 in the early part of the season. The finale of the two-game series will be Friday night at 6:35 at Joannes Stadium before the Bullfrogs endure their first road trip of the season. The Bullfrogs will travel to play the Lakeshore Chinooks on May 30-31 at Kapco Park.
