Petes to Announce Player Signing During Charity Plane Pull Event

(Peterborough, ON)- The Peterborough Petes will announce their second signing from the group of players selected by the team in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection on Saturday, May 30 at 10:15am at the Peterborough Airport. The press conference will take place at the main stage across from the bleachers during the Global Angel Charity Plane Pull event.

All media are encouraged to attend the press conference, which will include opportunities to interview Petes GM Mike Oke, other team personnel, the newly signed player, and his family. There will also be photo and ENG opportunities.

Following the press conference, the Petes will take part in the second annual plane pull challenge in support of the Global Angel Charitable Organization. Following a team warmup led by staff from Nu Bodies Fitness, the Petes team, featuring players, hockey operations personnel, and alumni, will pull a 40,000 lbs plane a total distance of twelve feet.

The Petes selected 18 players in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection, the most of any team (tied with Flint), including three of the first 29 overall picks. Peterborough previously signed fifth overall selection Zach Gallant to a standard player agreement and scholarship package.
