Marauders Nearly Come back on Daytona

Bradenton, FL - The Marauders (22-24) mounted a furious rally over the final two innings, but fell just short against Daytona (28-18) 7-6 at McKechnie Field on Wednesday morning. All six runs were scored over the final two innings, and the game ended with the tying run at third base.
Trailing 7-5 in the bottom of the ninth, 3B Wyatt Mathisen and CF Austin Meadows drew consecutive one- out walks off El'Hajj Muhammad. SS JaCoby Jones lined a single to right for his second RBI, putting men at the corners. Muhammad recovered to pop out LF Barrett Barnes and 1B Jose Osuna to end the game.
Jones and RF Harold Ramirez each drove in two runs in the game. RHP Luis Heredia (L, 0-3) started and pitched four innings, surrendering two earned runs in defeat.
NOTES: The game began at 10:33 a.m. under partly cloudy skies, 78 degrees, and wind blowing 9 mph from right to left ... The Marauders fall to 1-1 in games that start before noon ...
