NEWS AND NOTES

ROAD WARRIORS:The Sea Dogs have won four straight road games, and continue their 3-game series with the Binghamton Mets on Wednesday night at NYSEG Stadium...Portland has outscored the opponent 34-22 during their road-winning streak...The two teams conclude the series tomorrow afternoon at 10:35 AM, and then Portland will travel to Arm & Hammer Park to face the Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) on Friday night...Tonight Portland faces Dillon Gee, who is on a Major League Rehab Assignment from the Mets.

TWO WAS ENOUGH: Portland scored their eight runs in just two innings, taking the series opener from the Binghamton Mets, 8-5 on Tuesday night...The Sea Dogs scored 5 runs in the seventh inning for the second straight day and Joe Gunkel worked 5+ innings to notch his second win...Portland opened up the scoring in the third inning, receiving back-to-back homers from Jonathan Roof and Blake Tekotte...Jantzen Witte finished 2-for-4, 3 RBI...The 'Dogs turned a season-high 4 double plays, including a 5-4-3 twin-killing to end the game...Pat Light earned his second Double-A save, working 1.1 innings on 2 hits.
