Condors Sign Rimmer, Christoffer, and Rankin to AHL Contracts

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, owned by the Edmonton Oilers, announced today that G Ty Rimmer, LW Braden Christoffer, and LW Connor Rankin have been signed to AHL contracts. They become the first three players signed to contracts by the AHL Condors.
RIMMER (stats) 6'1", 180 lbs., 23 years old, Edmonton, Alberta
Entering his third professional season
Made 25 appearances in 2013-14 with the Condors (ECHL) going 8-11-3 with a 3.20 goals-against average (GAA) and an .889 save percentage
Earned his first ECHL shutout on January 2, 2015 against Stockton
Left the team in February for surgery and treatment after being diagnosed with testicular cancer. Made a full recovery and joined the Oklahoma City Barons at the end of the season for their playoff run.
In 2011-12, was named to the Western Hockey League (WHL) First All-Star Team and had the league's best GAA (2.43) and save percentage (.922) with the Tri-City Americans CHRISTOFFER (stats) 5'10', 190 lbs., 20 years old, Sherwood Park, Alberta
Played three seasons in the WHL for the Regina Pats with 114 points (50g-64a) and 368 penalty minutes in 202 games
Finished third on the Pats in scoring in 2014-15 with 59 points (26g-33a)In 72 games
Second in the WHL in penalty minutes with 147 and led the Pats two consecutive seasons in the same category.
Led the Pats in 2012-13 with 130 PIMs in 61 gamesRANKIN (stats) 6'0, 202 lbs., 20 years old, North Vancouver, British Columbia
Played five seasons in the WHL for Tri-City and most recently with the Calgary Hitmen, recording with 268 points (121g-147a) in 339 games
His best season came in 2014-15, finishing second on the Hitmen with 79 points (32g-47a) in 72 games
Third on the Americans in scoring (58pts) and second in goals (32) in 2012-13
