Kelly Olynyk to Make Hadlock Field Appearance on June 27th

PORTLAND, MAINE - Boston Celtics center Kelly Olynyk is scheduled to make an appearance at Hadlock Field on Saturday, June 27th, when the Sea Dogs host the Reading Fightin Phils at 6:00 PM. Olynyk's appearance at Hadlock Field is presented by Asylum Sports Bar and Grill.
Olynyk will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and will be available to sign free autographs on photos provided by the Sea Dogs from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
Olynyk was selected 13th overall in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks out of Gonzaga University and then traded immediately to the Celtics for the rights to Lucas Nogueira and two future second round picks. He appeared in 64 regular season games for Boston in the 2014-15 season and averaged 10.3 points and 4.7 rebounds over 22.3 minutes per game, while shooting 47.5% from the floor and 34.9% from three-point range. Over his two year career, Olynyk has played 134 games and averaged 9.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, with a career shooting percentage of 47.1% and 34.9% from beyond the arc.
The Sea Dogs, the Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, have hosted several Boston athletes at Hadlock Field over the past few years, including Rob Gronkowski (2011), Patrick Chung (2012), Shawn Thornton (2012 & 2014), Rob Ninkovich (2013), Trot Nixon (2014), Shane Vereen (2014), Marcus Smart (2014), and Malcolm Butler (2015).
Other appearances scheduled for Hadlock Field this season include Maine Olmpian Julia Clukey on June 4th, Major League Lacrosse star Greg Gurenlian on June 7th, Big Bird on June 28th, WWE start Mick Foley, the New England Patriots Cheerleaders on July 20th, and the Maine Game Wardens from North Woods Law on August 11th.
