Americans Force a Game 7 on Wednesday Night

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans defeated the Ontario Reign by a 2-1 score on Tuesday night to extend the series to a 7th Game on Wednesday night in Allen.
After a scoreless opening period, the Americans jumped on the board in the second, scoring the first goal for the first time since Game 1, as Greger Hanson deflected one in off of Ontario defenseman Matt Register for a 1-0 Allen lead. The goal came shortly after an Americans power play had expired. Ontario had a slight advantage in shots, 21-16 after the two periods of play.
The Americans broke the tie in the third when Chad Costello fired home his 7 th of the postseason, just 2:01 into the final frame, to give the Americans their second lead of the night at 2-1. Riley Gill was sparkling for Allen, denying shot after shot down the stretch and leading the Americans to a second straight win over the Reign, forcing a Game 7 on Wednesday night at Allen Event Center.
